About The Liberty Church

Our History

On October 8, 2000, the Liberty Church was officially organized. At that time, L. Gene Vaughn, Sr. took on the role as Founder and Pastor. Prior to that, Pastor Vaughn was the Pastor of the Mount Olive Baptist Church. During his time at Mt. Olive, God began to deal with Pastor Vaughn in the area of developing a Ministry where people could break up and out of the traps of tradition and the rut of ritualism.

After much prayer and conversation with God, his Family, and others, he yielded to God's call. God then moved Pastor Vaughn from the level of confinement to the level of LIBERTY. Thus, the Liberty Church was conceived. A little over eight years later, the Liberty Church still stands, now stronger than ever. The church owns 12 acres located at 1500 N Liberty Church Rd.

Our Philosophy

Our philosophy is to evangelize our community and disciple men, women and children by establishing genuine relationships, energetic worship, and a festive environment. A partnership approach to ministry is used to create an “everybody is somebody” attitude, so each member supports one another while they experience LIBERTY.
